The Motion Picture Association
of America claims that our petition against PROTECT IP, the bill that intends
to blacklist certain websites, is invalid. They claim that the signatures used against
the PROTECT IP ACT are fake. To validate their signatures more than 35,000
Demand Progress members emailed lawmakers asking them to reconsider their
position on this horrible legislation. NOW it’s your turn to reach out to your
lawmakers and ask them to oppose PROTECT IP! This is different than signing a petition;
it is voicing your concern directly.
Just add your
information here http://act.demandprogress.org/act/pipa_letter/?source=mo
Now it is official,
New York Times and the LA Times expressed their opposition against the bill.
You can join their public renouncement of PROTECT IP by emailing your lawmakers'
offices, proving to your lawmakers that you are more than just an email. You
are their constituents and you have an influence on these lawmakers future re-election.
Prove the MPAA wrong
and fight their cynicism and futile charges against Demand Progress, our
members, and all Internet freedom activists by emailing Congress. Simply add
your information and this letter will be sent to them under your name from your
address. (You can edit the letter if you'd like to.) http://act.demandprogress.org/act/pipa_letter/?source=mo
